Wacky Wednesday

I wanted to do something to celebrate Leap Day, but we have a busy week and are going away Friday morning for the weekend so I had decided to just mention it to the kids without doing anything. Since Friday is Dr. Seuss' birthday, I've been trying to do a few things for that this week. I remembered that there is a book by Dr. Seuss called Wacky Wednesday and since Leap Day was Wednesday, I thought it was a good way to combine them both. At breakfast this morning, I told the kids it was Wacky Wednesday and they could wear anything they wanted and use some color spray we had from something else. They were really excited about picking out crazy clothes.

When I decided to let the kids do this, I thought it worked well because we didn't have to go anywhere Wednesday. Then I got an email that some books I needed had come in at the library. I told the girls they could change, but they wanted to go like this. Colin wouldn't go dressed up though. The girls got some funny looks at the library.

  1. I think their mismatched clothes are cute! I am a little weird in general though! LOL! :) Wacky Wednesday was one of the books we bought this year.
